Can you help us help the children?

     Our organization sponsors two schools in Haiti, helping them provide a classic Christian education and supplies they need, and feeding them a daily hot meal.  When Hurricane Sandy passed through Haiti last year, it did more damage to Haiti than most of us in the States heard about on the news.  The supply lines for many resources were disrupted, including the food sources.  In the last several months the children at our schools there have not been able to receive the food that they had been getting.  We are very sad to realize that there have been times when our school children have gone through school days without the daily hot meal they look forward to so much.  It’s so hard for a child to learn when he is very aware of his grumbling empty stomach.  That hot lunch is very often the only real meal he has each day.

     The good news is, we have become aware of a container of food worth $70,000 sitting in Ohio, waiting for someone to come up with the $8,000 needed to ship the container to Haiti.  It has been offered to us  that if we can come up with $8,000, we can have half the contents of the container.  That would provide enough meals to feed our approximate 450 students daily for almost a year!

     We have been challenged to raise the $8,000 within the next three weeks.  We want to take advantage of this opportunity to feed our children in Haiti.  Would you please join with us to get this food shipped, so we can help ensure our school kids can once again be assured of at least that one hot meal a day?
